I use the bird cups that have the perch and wire on it, I cut the perch off, and cut the side where the perch was about half way down, the wire fits on the side of the cage and I have a branch that leads to it.. So they stand on the branch to eat. I place it higher in the cage.. This is only my opinion though, but I am a firm believer in not having anything on the floor of my cage, My gliders are not floor gliders, and I surely don't want them to learn to go down to play or eat..but then again, I also believe that if it isn't acceptable at one time, then it isn't acceptable any time.. But again this is just my opinion.. I have seen others that used to have their food on the floor switch it towards the top, and pick their toys and plaything from the bottom, they have seen their gliders spend less time on the floor when they are out of the cage as well..
