I just recently built my own cage (vinyl coated black, 1 inch x 1/2 inch.) 2 feet deep by 2 feet wide by 4 feet tall! I purchased the material from an Ace hardware store here in Gloucester VA. The price was $1.85 per foot and the roll was 2 feet tall, so $1.85 for a 2 x 1 ft piece. I had them cut 5--4 ft pieces and used the fifth for the top and shelves, and got a 2 x 2 plastic litter box from Wal-Mart for $3.00! Oh yeah they also sell what they call "pig ears" [at the Ace hardware]that you'll need to hold the cage together. it is very sturdy and looks great. Total cost for me was $55.00, a local petstore sells the exact same kind for $175.00. So I think I made out fairly well.any way give it a shot and if you have any questions feel free to E-mail me.
