Kristi...it is good to know to cook them, but since it says uncooked beans, wouldnt it be okay to feed them cooked beans? If they like them and it didnt hurt the glider? Once you know to cook them you will not give them uncooked beans, so there should be no problem, right? Thanks, Heather:) : Thanks for the Info. Kristi, Wow I sure didn't know that, I've read the book, but I didn't read the poisonous plants part because i don't have house plants. I have been feeding lima beans to my gliders for 8 months and they love them, guess i better stop even though they are doing fine with no ill effects. Thanks again (T.J.) : : :It is on Page 34 last thing on the page.....Java bean...(lima bean)
: : : I have Carolyn MacPhersons book, could you tell me what page says that Lima Beans are Poison if uncooked. Thanks (T.J.) : : : : : : : : Actually it says in Carolyn MacPhersons book that uncooked lima beans are poison to sugar gliders. : : : : So I wouldn't feed them at all. : : : : K : : : : : : : : : : Yeah, lima beans are ok...I have heard that some gliders really like them, but I havent tried it with mojo yet. I couldnt figure out whether to cook them or not:) I mean I assume you cook them, but then there comes the how and do you freeze them afterward...so many questions:) Well, have fun and tell me how it goes. : : : : : Heather and Mojo:) : : : : : : Are lima beans ok to give my gliders? Thanks
