okay as Tammy had said the dehydration doesn't take long at all, Marsupial babies are bonr in the pouch decalcified, so all the calcium is sucked from moms diet right into the milk, any excess mom gets, if the water and calcium/proteins were not there for the milk, then mom would have been drained dry, litterally. the seeds as a treat to be left for the sitter should be something you consider not doing in the future, the water also would be drained if the milk was missing it.. you had the answers, I think you just needed confirmation..
