I have left my gliders with sitter 3-4 times for over a week with people who know
very little about gliders, just what I write in my directions and a phone # of someone
who knows more if they run into problems. (trusting with my babies, huh?) Anyway,
they have never been really friendly with the sitters and are kind of cranky when we are gone,
but once we get back, they practically leap into our arms and a long chin rub cures any hurt feelings
their might still be. They also need long hours running around outside of the cage when we get home,
and a lot of playing, but overall, snap out of it pretty quickly.

If you are camping and it is cold, its probably not a good idea. Mine get cold so easily.
Camping for mine I think would be much more tramatising than being home alone. I think
they'd be scared to death of all of the nature noises and new atmosphere.
