: I feed my gliders a variety of fruits and veggies along with Brisky's and a few meal worms. I just can't understand what happened. I have 2 gliders Missy and Harry. I have read this board often but never posted. But straight to the story. Missy is approximately 9 mos old and was carrying her first babies, twins. She seemed to be doing very well and when I went in to take her out for play time and feed them I find my twins in the bottom of the cage mangled. Is this normal for first babies? I thought I was giving the right foods. What happened?

No this is not normal for first babies. There are many reasons for gliders to mutilate their young and in instances like yours it is often times stress related. That does not mean that your situation was stress related just as giving a varied diet is not necessarily the cause. Please do not blame yourself or search for a way to punish yourself over this. I am sorry that you lost your little ones especially since they were your first. I wish you all the best of luck the next time around.
