Subject: Health info please!! Posted by Crystal on October 26, 1999 at 15:49:35 from 24.64.191.35 last night I found my 2 year old female glider walking with difficulty, and looking miserable. She was kind of dragging her hind legs and was rubbing her chest on the cage bottom. I was terrified that she wouldn't live through the night she looked so sickly. She just had a baby come out of her pouch 3 weeks ago. I was afraid that she wasn't getting enough calcium so I fed her some baby food with calcium and vitamin D mixed in it. Today she seemed back to normal, but I took her to the vet anyway. He suggested that it might have been a nerve injury because she recovered so quickly. So other than watching her closely and giving her a little more calcium supplement he couldn't suggest anything else. I have other gliders fed the same diet as her and they seem fine right now. If anyone could give me some advice or relate to this, I would love to hear from you! Thanks.
