: Cat food is very high in fat and made for cats which are not native to Glider country. So bottom line is this cat food is not made for gliders! it's made for cats give your gliders 75% fruit and a spoonfull of the Leadbeaters recipes that zoo's use for their glider diet, Bourbon has a good Leadbeaters recipe. Gliders bodies aren't built to digest fat so it builds up and causes many problems and blindness in joeys.
: please e-mail if you need the leadbeaters recipe

Ashley,
If you have access to other protein sources that would be the best thing for your glider. I feed lots of insects, cooked chicken, eggs, Nekton Lori, and occassionally ONLY "INNOVA" cat food in the light formula. It is an all natural cat food the isn't high in fat and is considerably different from any other cat food on the market. If you can not feed that brand of cat food don't feed any at all. Use the leadbeaters, cooked chicken, hardboiled eggs, and a good number of crickets and mealworms. I feed up to 12 mealworms or crickets per glider per night. I have a friend who works at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago and that's the number of bugs they include in their diets. Hope I was of some help.
