Subject: help -- one of mine found a chocolate bar --- aaarrrggghhh

I am usually so very careful about leaving things out that could harm my darling babies. Now it seems that I may have failed, and I am looking for some reassurance. A package of mini chocolate bars exploded on to my couch a few days ago. We were so sure that all had been rounded up, that no further thought was given to the kiddos sleeping behind the cushions, until yesterday. While retrieving the preg female, I found a thouroughly chewed candy bar (about 1/3 of it was gone) and she was licking her chops --- I KNOW chocolate is, or can be, toxic to many animals depending on their constitution. Also I dont know if the preg female ate all that herself, or if her hubby and daughter helped. And I dont know how long they'd been at it. -- Does any one think I may be in for a funeral soon :( , or did I luck out this time. I didnt go to the vet, because he said there wouldnt be anything he could do, just watch them. -- How long, do you think, before I would know if there is a problem. As of this morning everyone's seems okay. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Cordially, TammyH and the "B" brigade
