Kiya, As Jane had said, with gliders it isn't so much a daner allergy as it is the scratches and the welts they produce. A glider uses its paws for everything, their claws are very short and come to a pin head point, when their claws go into your pores, they have residules of everything the glider touched since they last cleaned. so the bacteria from their claws go directly into the pores, which causes them to not only swell but also burn and itch. and seem like an allergic reaction with regards to the welts. What we do here is if it bothers us, we have a box, plastic, that has cosmetic pads in it, we pour good old fashion rubbing alchol over the pads. when we get scratched or it burns or itches, we rub the pad across it. As painful as this sounds, it isn't so bad. We don't get the burning, itching or even the welts after this. I know of others that thought I was crazy, till they tried. They now swear by it.. s Carrie had suggested, the best thing to do is spend time with one, find a breeder or owner nearby that will be willing to help you. That in itself will be invaluable in the future as well.
