I have alex and his 4 month old female mate in cages side by side. they don't fuss at each other and he looks eager to meet her, she seems nonchalant.I got them out in the bathroom yesterday morning and they hugged for one second then starting biting. I think he was to eager. I separated them fast with fears of mangled eyes or feet from sharp teeth. when they are in hamster balls they lick each other through the holes.they sleep in each other's pouches and are within grasping distance of each other in cage. Alex seems happier than he's been since i rescued him from 8 months of lonliness from my daughter , but i'm afraid to mix them again and see those teeth let loose on each other!!!!
