: Hey all, : Recently my boyfriend and I adopted a male and female pair : of young sugargilders. We plan to breed them eventually and : were wondering how the present pair might react to the addition of : one or two more females. Is there a possibilty of competitive : violence or adjustment time that we might expect? I know that : gliders are socail animals by nature and tend to stay in groups : but I'm worried that after time they might be leery about new : prospects. Any advixce would be most appreciated. Thanx again. Gldiers are only communal within a family group. That means most of the family is related by blood. IF you try to introduce sexually mature gliders to new sexually mature gliders of the same sex, they will fight. If you try to introduce sexually mature gliders to sexually immature gliders the older ones will try to kill the younger ones.
Always remember: Glidiers are wild animals. The law of the jungle is the only law they recognize.
