the main concern, is, if your glider is like most everyone elses, their nails are very sharp and curve. so they have a good chance of getting them caught in the loops of the threads In most socks they are a loose loop, when their nails get caught, all they think about is getting them out, they will twist and turn till eventually something gives Most of the time it is the leg, a toe, etc.. before the thread will break..
