well, our apt lives right under the flight path for the jets taking off and landing at the nearby naval base. Talk about noise!!!! LOL. Anyway, my gliders have never seemed bothered by it. As far as seeing in the dark, well...they are NOCTURNAL! They can see better in the dark than during the day. However, they should not be left in the dark all the time. They need to have light so they can notice the difference between night and day. If they don't it can mess up their biological clocks..just like if there was no dark at night for humans.

: Has anyone made experience as to how gliders are affected by for example street noise.
: My room lies directly above a much used street and I wonder if my gliders may be affected by the ambient noise.
: Also, how far goes their ability to see in the dark? I considered closing the --uhm-- I really don´t know THAT word in english --, let´s say the "curtains" outside the window to make the room more quiet, but then it is COMPLETELY dark in their.
: Any advice??
