Hi Sue.
You were misinformed... You can give a glider away, but you may not gain any profit from the transaction. (That's how my local USDA inspector explained it)
The license is more to prevent 'puppymills' and the like... but also to assure that the breeder has adequate information and knowhow to deal with the species.

You would have to get in touch with you regional sector office... There are phone #'s at the url Bourbon posted... just ask them to send you the information/application kit for class A license under the Animal Welfare Act... There's ALOT of info to go through in that packet... check it out, then make your decision - send in the application fee... or nope!
