Make note of the date of when you think conception happened. As far as them not having the wild thing on their mind the male will still try.. But anyway 16 days after conception they should make their way into the pouch. From the moment that happens you will start to see lumpsaround mom's pouch, they will grow rapidly, If there are twins it should look like half of an english walnut both sides bulging a bit, a single joey may be placed anywhere in the poch but only one lump will show. As far as changes to watch for. Mine sealed her pouch and cleaned it often. Before they made the trip to the pouch, the male really started marking their sleeping pouch heavily. She didn't show much change. the day they made the trip she was acting as most woman do on the day of delivery, she couldn't get comfortable and tossed and turned alot. She still behaved towards me as usual and came out and went into my pocket as usual. just couldn't get comfortable. After they made the trip, she wanted to spend a bit more time in the sleeping pouch with the male, she still would come out and into my pocket 3 to 4 times a week, her play period was normal. We started to hear a chirp like sound unlike any chirping we had heard before..(We suspect she was singing to the joeys) depending on if it is 1 or 2 joeys your in the pouch developement will be anywhere from 40 to 54 days. Mine still eats as usual with no special appitite spurges. We give her leadbeaters which is calcium and she still gets plenty of insects and mealworms, Our joeys made the trip up into the pouch on June 20th (a sight BTW that is awsome to watch if possible) We figure we should start seeing feet and tails by the end of July.. Good Luck and I hope this helped..
