Don,

A glider only weans from it's mother somewhere between 8-10 weeks out of pouch. Therefore the glider you are getting is very much still a baby. A glider younger than that would be in danger of having not had the time to wean properly and I will refrain from going on a tangent about nursing joeys. If you have your heart set on a glider and are in it for the long haul please look into it a little further.
What size and type of cage will you get?
Have you read bourbon's bonding page?
Have you decided what to use for feeding yet?
I agree they make wonderful pets but only to dedicated owners, trust me on this one Gliders only give back in love what they receive, and that takes many hours a week on our part in caring for them properly and playing with them consistently. I assure you it is no small task!!!!!!!!
