:He prviously belonged to a

Now isn't that just so sad that someone would buy a 6 year old child a glider and expect them to be able to care for it. Who would have sold a glider to someone for a child that young anyway?

:Sometime i notice
: that he has begun to bond with me but he still sometimes
: bites me.

Are these the mean go away bites or are these the social nips or mock biting that all gliders will do from time to time?

He seems to love to be with me when he sleeps
: but prefers to run wild when he plays. Is there any
: suggestions on how to get him to play with me and do you
: ever think he will be able to fully trust me?

Gliders love to run and explore at night when they are awake and ready for play. If you want him to play with you why not try waking him up some in the day time for a bout of finger wrestling and such. That would be the best time to get him to play with you. You say that you have glider proofed a room, that is great then you can play with him as he is enjoying himself running about the room.
As for being able to fully trust you, yes that will come with time and patience. I have two pairs of wild caught gliders that do trust me and are now social with others.

Also does
: allowing a lot of people to handle him slow the bonding
: process?

It may slow the time that he bonds to you, but by allowing others to hold him and play with him he will become a very social glider and a joy to be around.
