I have to agree with Lisa. My male was never happier than when I got him a mate. I think that we shouldn't try to go against mother nature. They live in groups in the wild so it only makes sense that they would be happier with other gliders. If it means that my glider is happier I don't mind if he chooses her over me. They are both bonded to me and very tame. I think it would have been selfish of me to deprive him just for my sake. I would say definitely get one, because no matter how much time you spend with your glider there is always time when you can't be with him and he will be alone if you don't have two. Plus, maybe they will get used to each other sooner if they are both young. I had my male for about a year before I got my little girl and it took a long time for him to accept her.
