Subject: Well, they are home! Posted by Shianne on December 19, 1999 at 21:36:02 from 207.203.248.13 I brought home the new lil ones, have barely been able to even catch a peek yet but I will give them space for a few days. I am really upset about the cage that they have been kept in for the last 9 months. It is a bird cage for finches and approximately one and a half foot wide, 10 inches deep and two feet tall. I am disgusted. otherwise they seem healthy from what I can tell, completely untame and the previous owner was under the impression that one was wild caught ( which I do not believe at all) and that the other one was 1st generation domestic (don't believe that either) So, now it is time to build an emergency cage for them to live in until they can get fixed and get to know my little girl. The have an appointment next week for a good health check and they will be nuetered shortly thereafter. By the way, has anyone heard of or used corn-cob bedding? This is what was in their cage. So the fun begins! Thanks to those who have been (and will be) helpful through this process. Glider love to all! (oh yeah, taking suggestions for boy names, they were "Hydrogen" and "Bomb" which MUST be changed quickly!)
