It takes time, love and committment. How old is your glider? If it is young it won't take too long at all. If it is older and/or has been mistreated you could be in for a longer time of it. Either way it will be worth the wait.
I have been working with 2 girls that were totally traumatized by pet store employees. I have had them 7 months now and they are finally getting to trust me. They do not cuddle but they will hop all over me and let me touch them now. They don't lunge anymore or crab till I go away. :o)

Best thing to do is carry her around with you a lot in a bonding pouch. Give nummy treats when you first get her out of the cage so she will associate you with "goodness".
She will get to trust you eventually.

Good luck, have patience and enjoy your new friend. You won't be sorry.

: I just bought my sugar glider about 2 weeks ago and as kind and gentle I have been to her she will not let anyone hold her. If she even sees your hands near, she screams, bears her teeth and lunges at you from inside her cage. I love her and want to hold and cuddle her, but don't know how to tame her without scaring her. I've tried gloves, and she still bites. any suggestions? thanks
