: I've been hearing about "bonding pouches" but don't know
: what they are.

They are a cloth pouch that usually hangs by a cord that can be tied in the cage or you can wear it around your neck. You can sew one yourself or purchase them from many places. I have one to offer that has a pull out lining that is not removable this makes it easier to take out a glider that does not want to come out of it's pouch and it also makes the cleaning of the pouch easier. It closes with velcro tabs so that you might hear your glider trying to escape it's pouch. For more information, just e-mail me.

: Also, my son starts back to school next week, I work all day
: out of the house so what happens to our little Flip! If I
: leave a radio on for him will that help???

It might help to keep him adjusted to sounds of people but gliders generally sleep during the day and are awake to play at night. You will need to spend at the very least two hours of social interaction with this glider on a daily basis such as when you get home from work in the evening.

: He's rather grouchy - keeps nipping us - but we are waiting
: for a new hand made cage to be built. Is it best to leave
: him alone and not bug him?

No. They only need a couple of days to adjust to their new surroundings before beginning to adjust to you. It is best to have some interaction each day.

Should I let him sleep all day
: without interaction, when we are home?

Once you get a bonding pouch put him in the pouch and wear him when you can. He can sleep in it and get use to your scents, movements, and the sound of your voices even while he is sleeping.

: Help!!!! a stressed new owner!!!!

Try not to be too stressed. Try to take the time to enjoy your new addition to your home and family.
