Considering the way the adults are reacting to you handling their babies... Id say dont take the chance of the parents 'turning' on the joeys. It CAN happen, parents will kill their babies! Gliders use their sense of smell to increadible lengths - You cannot, not leave a scent on the joeys and also handle them...
Unfortunately, untame parents will not be the best example for the lil'ones... so try not to encourage that particular behavior.

Be patient, if mom and dad are doing well with them... leave them to do their job.
You will have plenty of time to tame them after they are weaned... Just be sure to use seperate cages and work with both parents AND joeys on a consistant basis.
This is when the true bonding begins anyway - they will be dependent upon you, instead of their parents. Trust comes slowly, it is earned...


Been there, done that... My road was also very long and rocky... :( but your patience and persistance will prevail!
