Most of the time I have to tip the couch over to get to him. Does he not like me or something please help. My female glider also moves into my furniture once in a while. Does he eat the filling of the couch ?? If not, let him sit in there and wait until he comes out. Don´t chase him or make him fear you more. If he´s not already bonded to you, I would not take him out until he trusts you (see Bourbon´s tips on bonding - its in the link list of sugargliders.com). You could just close the opening with some kind of material but I would either do a little more bonding or make sure he does not get hurt in there and let him have his time. Maybe try to lure him out with treats (mine do EVERYTHING for a mealie). Good luck.
