If holding crickets makes you squimish (certainly makes me squimish!), either freeze them til they are dead and then give it, or have the crickets in a wide mouth jar and let the glider get his own crickets out. Personally, I keep mine in a jar and let my glider get his own. In another post someone said that insects are an aquired taste for gliders, so young gliders will often not take them, where older ones will. I think that could be true.
