We can not thank you enough for your help. We took Rockie to the
Animal Hospital last night right after receiving your reply in the
chat room. The doctor knew very little about Sugar Gliders. We
brought the info on 'hind leg' problems to her. We think this is
the problem. She gave him glucose water and a shot of calcium, but
had no Vit D or E. He is still in very rough shape, but is
surviving. We've e-mailed a local doctor today who specializes in
SG, but we don't know if He will receive it today. His answering
machine advises calling the emergency hospital that we took Rockie
to last night. Unfortunately, this is the only 24 hour emergency
pet facility in our area. If you happen to have any other
suggestions, we would really appreciate hearing from you. In
checking the internet for hours last night on the subject of SG, we
came across your name MANY times at a number of different web
sites. This is why it was wonderful to see that the reply was from
you. E-mailing us just shows how committed and caring you are.
Please accept our sincere appreciation and gratitude! Ted & Linda

Hi im Ted . We went to the animal hospital again and we got some
antibiotics for him and got some D vitamins in him and also
re-hidrated him . We got home and he started to sneeze out out
control . I put him by my belly so he could warm up . Then he
started to {what it looked like to choke} not breathe and was dead at
9:15 pm . Thank you so much for your help and your faith Ted and
Linda .

my final response to them..
Ted, I am so very sorry.. I truly am.. If you could let people
know, how important it is to find a vet, that is glider
knowledagable, one that can be contacted at any time day or
night, and how important it is that people contact their vet, at
the first sign that something may be wrong..It could save yet
another gliders life.. We have a page located in two places, for
special things like this..Maybe if you would have known about
it.. maybe it could have saved your glider.. I don't know.. what
I do know, is that I truley understand the pain you must be
feeling. If there is anything, ANYTHING at all I can do please
let me know.. Bourbon
