A sugar gliders gestation period is 16 days. Once in the pouch it is about the size of a pea. If you try to feel it you may dislodge it from the teat. You see a baby glider, once it finds it's way into the pouch attaches itself to the teat and the teat then swells in the babies mouth. Once dislodged it may not be able to reattach itself. Just be patient and wait and watch to see if lumps develope in the pouch area. Be prepared to play the roll of Poppa glider, by keeping the babies warm while mom eats and plays, and helping to teach the babies what to eat once they are ready to be weaned.
