Now that you have another glider they need more territory. Your single glider is most likely stressed by the close living quarters. They need more excercize, a bigger cage, a securely glider-proofed room to free-roam at night if possible.
You did the right thing by getting another glider; give them some more space (and toys)and watch carefully for a difference.
You're right about the circling. Its called "stereotypic" behavior and it results from boredom and stress in captive animals. The human equivalent is head-banging or rocking back and forth.
