There are a lot of web pages on this. And just about everyone will tell you to separate the parents and baby for one week to wean the baby and then adopt him/her out(I forget how old they are at this stage-- 6,7, or 8 weeks?) The parents will wean the baby themselves; they are excellent parents and there is no need to forcibly do it. I have let my gliders do that and they're quite capable and the babies are always very friendly. You do still need to spend a lot of time with the baby, or course. I would say that try adopting them out when they're about 10 weeks or so; people like them as young as possible and most recommend earlier, but some of the "bonding" theory out there is a bunch of crap. I've seen people have the same youth preferences for kittens and I've fostered enough kittens to know that it just doesn't matter; 6 weeks or 6 months, in the long run you get the same cat. Best of Luck!
