Many times a baby glider that is not well handled is frightened of new people and will react out of fear. For these gliders it may take months for it to learn to trust you and to bond with you. Bourbon has a great page on bonding and bonding techniques. Yes wear your glider in the bonding pouch, give it time. Put honey or applesauce on the tips of your fingers and let it lick it off of them. Allow your new baby to associate your hands with pleasant things. When it is in the pouch and begins to crab, caress it from the outside of the pouch talking to it softly. Remember that it's ears are very sensitive to sound. Eventually your new baby will bond to you and the rewards are well worth the effort and the wait.
