I think they don´t like the cat food when it´s purreed, maybe its another reason but after two days, they wouldn´t eat the slurry anymore. At least they ate so little of it (about two teaspoons max) that I was concerned about them not eating enough at all. I phoned the vet (a new one, btw) and he gave me the diet they use in the local zoo. Now I´ve made them a leadbeaters that is very similar to your recipe (including chicken, eggs, yoghurt, orange, apple, wheat germ, cereals, honey, calcium supplement) and in addition they get about three dishes full of vegetables and fruits (one of them with a high calcium ratio, eg. Papaya) plus insects as treats. He said that it´s best to let the gliders take part in the decision what to eat, because they usually know instinctively what´s good for them. So, they get their protein rationed (three tablespoons of leadbeaters - its really much like yours - ) and can choose between high and low calcium fruits/veggies. It worked pretty good for the last two days, although they are not eating very much, it´s still more than with the all-in-one slurry and teh vet said that they go through cycles in which they eat seemingly nothing for a few days, then filling themselves to the top with everything they see. I really hope this will work now. ( ps: seemingly enjoy their lives, though. Usually, as soon as the joeys are with me they start off right on the bookshelf, mating all around the room for HOURS while I look after the kids.)
