The Wodent Wheel comes with a suggestion, of putting a fine grade sandpaper in the wheel one night a week, its supposed to trim their nails down great. It also says the sandpaper should be taken out after one night.
I always wanted to do this, but one of my gliders has a broken toe that didn't heal perfectly straight, and I'm afraid he will scrape it raw. So I do it the hard way, in the daytime, like Cynthia suggested. Its quite frustrating to clip one nail on one of 8 paws (2 gliders, one pouch), have it disappear, pulling out another paw, clipping one nail, have it disappear..etc.
So the sandpaper thing sounds great, but I've never done it due to my glider's injury. Hopefully someone else on this board has some experience and opinions about it to share...
