She's still very shy. We haven't bonded yet but we're getting there. She won't come out of her cage at all. Should I force her to come out and let her explore our room or should I just leave the cage door open and let her come out on her own? I don't want to scare her. I used a pouch in which my gliders slept most of the time. When I took them out for the first few times, I simply removed the pouch from the cage and placed it somewhere near me. After that, I started trying to lure them out with treats (if she likes insects, mealworms are a good "bait"). If they wouldn´t come out, I did NOT force them. This is really important, because your glider has to see you as nothing else but his safe haven and good-willed food provider who wants nothing more than to spoil him into unconsciousness. Maybe read Bourbon´s Tips on Bonding/Trusting (Her site is somewhere in the link list of sugarglider.com). Good luck!
