: I guess i slept through something. where was the mistreatment. were they being shipped or did you pick up the gliders? What was the two sentence sentence?

Through Amazon, they could have been bought by anyone, in any state. They would be shipped to whomever clicked to buy...and the purchase is usually done by credit card immediately online.

My main complaint was they could be shipped to states where they are illegal, without the buyer even knowing. I also feel sugar gliders shouldn't be sold without giving the usual warnings regarding care...not just bought and shipped by a mouse click, no questions or discussion, or even a proper description of it. Same thing with Chinchillas or any exotic animal. If it was a site dedicated to pets, this would be a whole different story. But this is Amazon.

I feel it is a completely irresponsible way to sell a live animal, let alone an high maintainance exotic. It would lead to mistreatment as buyers may not know what they are getting into, shipping might cause problems, and in illegal states, there would be no vet care and possibly lead to euthanized animals.

The 2 sentences used for a description were (estimated from my memory): Baby sugar glider, a little extra care and they make a great pocket pet. Sugar gliders are marsupials from Australia.
