It's going to take a few months of reasearching, not just 2 weeks. I suggest you really get into this before getting any. I do give you a load of credit for even bothering to research first tho. As for which sex to get..if you dont plan on breeding get either a M and F and neuter the male or 2 females, if you feel like it get 2 males and neuter both of them. Leashes, I wont even get into that because there will be war on this board, but I suggest you dont even stress the glider trying to put it on. I take mine outside all the time with no leash but I dont encourage them to leave me. When they're out they sleep in bra and started a new thing with a pouch now. My girl is the only one of mine I would trust not to runaway even if I put her down in the grass. I dont think the boys would either but I haven't and dont want to try it with them. As for the cheapest..well you get what you pay for. If you cant pay for a glider then what about vet bills and food bills? Just giving you some insight. Also make sure they are legal where you live. Just one more question..if you and your friend are getting them will they be at one of your houses or are you both getting seperate cages? Or do you live together? Gliders wouldnt do so well if they stay at one of your houses and one of you just visits trying to make a bond. Maybe someone else will be able to tell you what I am and actually say it without confusing you. Too much on my mind right now but I hope you know what I mean.
