you guys already have half the job done, they trust their pouch, for them it is a safe zone..try getting another one and switching it out every week or so,, also, you may want to take the pouch out and hold them while they are in it. Gliderdad,the food is a great idea, always be sure it is a licky food, the mealies, may not be the best thing to offer at this time, only because , with those, they have to BITE them to get it. when using a licky substance , be sure you pullk your hand out of the pouch BEFORE they clean it all off. That way you are promoting the licking..the trauma of pouch changing isn't that big of a deal. It is important that they see, not only their pouch as a safe zone, but also their cage and you. Gliderdad, the idea with the pocket, some can use that, but I think what they need to do first is continue to build that trust so it extends beyound the pouch..Don't try to LURE them out.. you want them to stay in the pouch when you are carrying it, be it a pouch, or your pocket.. allow them to do what they feel safe doing.That is how trust is built...keep us posted..
