Be sure you have a wheel too, its a neccessity! Wodent Wheels are really the best for gliders, and don't cost too much more than regular ones. You can order one from several places online, definitely on www.betsycc.com
If you have a regular wheel with spokes, cover the spokes. You can use a strong material like Jean material, just make sure theres no loose strings etc they might chew on. You can buy a cover made specifically for this purpose, at
www.brisky.com, its called wonder webbing.
I agree about the bird toys, I use them too. Someone was telling me once their glider runs up and rings a bell when its time for his treats.
