They will usually go back to the cage. When I had my glider in our basement (where there is a toyroom and a game room and stuff), I left the cage door open accidentally, and when I went to see her in the morning she was sleeping in her pouch. But, all over the room there were bits of fruit and glider droppings. hehehe.
