David,
Again, I'm really sorry for your loss. I have heard of gliders dying of heat before, and also of dehydration after diaherra. If you think your glider is dehydrated, get him to a vet or a breeder ASAP. They can give SGs a shot of fluid (literally) and perhaps save their life. It's been miserably hot here in Texas; I carry an eyedropper with me and give E small drinks of juice or water during the day. Thank you for letting us learn from your tragedy, David. Best of luck with your new babies.
Tiffany

: : David, I don't believe heat & humidity did your babies in... they relish moist warmth! Have you ruled out the venom of an insect sting? Since they love insects, they would fatefully grab & bite a wasp or bee, & get bitten in the attempt. Hmmmmm?

: : I don't know where you live or if you have stinging insects, just a thought

: Definetely not insect related. As for the heat.....moist heat is good to a certain point. High temps will kill a glider and humidity combined with HIGH heat usually makes it harder to breathe, etc.
