I just went through the same thing with one of my gliders
we tried for days to clip his nails, they say to put them in a towel well, we tried that it didn't help so we finally
had to take him to the vet and let them do it. I think that
is the best way to go because they just will not stay still and I had a fear of cutting them to short, if that happens they will bleed. Good Luck!
