I did not feel that I was only giving negative advice. And I felt I was quite pleasant in my reply. I was trying to bring in to light some of the possibiltites that there are when you have one glider or more than one. I have had gliders of my own for over three years. I have kept them alone and in pairs. A lone glider can and usually does make a great pet and contrary to popular belief, lone gliders do not automatically get depressed and die. They do require more owner interaction though to prevent the above mentioned. As for having two gliders I was trying to point out that Nick should not get two and automatically assume they will have this awesome bond with him and the friend. They may very well bond greatly and make wonderful pets but it should not be automatically assumed that will happen. If they prefer each other over people what then? I have seen one too many times people buying animals and when they do not live up to their expectations they don't want them anymore. Not to say that is what would happen but that is a question one should ask one's self before purchasing any animal. You have to look at the downsides too. Even though everyone only seems to want to think about the good things. Sorry if I seemed negative, but like it or not, there are some issues that aren't always pleasant or happy ones.

Sorry if she reads it too...I'm not trying to be mean, but if you get ONE....it could die of being so depressed, and if you get TWO they won't bond as well with you.(Thats what she was saying) That wasn't very nice. My friend has two of them, and they both treat her just like one of them. They love her. Sorry- to write you like this.
