Pinkies could contain harmful bacteria. It depends on where you get them. Typically freezing them will kill any bacteria they may contain. I actually raise my own mice so that I can be sure of their health. And yes, I do feel bad about using them for food, but I feel that my gliders are healthier and happier with this as a part of their diet. In all the years I've had gliders, I've never had one get sick from eating pinkies or mice.

: Okay, I'm just going on what i've been told...so someone please let me know if this information is wrong. But I was told that pinkies can contain harmful bacterial that could possibly kill a glider.....anyone else ever heard this? Even if they don't I would NEVER have the heart to feed a glider a pinkie....I'm one of those people that everytime i go in the pet store and see feeder mice...i want to take one home as a pet to spare it's life!
