I'm not sure if this is the same one Kim is talking about, but the worst book I have seen is Sugar Gliders as pets by Dennis Kelsey Woods. I know that when the book was done that most of it was what people thought to be true, but it is now grossly outdated! Two examples I can think of right off the top of my head... one page shows them holding a glider up by its tail, and another pic shows a glider sitting in a bowl of bird seed and nuts. Info is always changing, and it is very important (imho) not to take any one book as gospel. It is also very important to keep researching even after you get your gliders.
