Subject: mysterious death

About one week ago I came home from vacation in Texas. Of course I brought my glider, Chaucer along. Well my aunt, whowe were visiting also had a glider, Tinkerbell.
My aunt and I put the two gliders together and there was an instant bond for the next two weeks. Nothing could calm my aunt's untaimed female down except for the company of Chaucer.
At the end of the two weeks I hated to see the two be separated, though they were too young to mate they still had a close bond. So I asked my aunt to let me take her glider
home to Baltimore, and she agreed in return for the mating services of my hedgehog. So I put the two lovebirds in their pouch and off we were. The trip home was three days and
two nights, hard on both humans and gliders. After the first night of the trip I went to our little room in the train so I could let the gliders out for a stretch. Sure enough
only one little head popped out. The first thought in my head was that Chaucer had been on top of Tinker and had suffocated her over the night. That idea was laid to rest when
I talked to a breeder that I know. I'm not sure what caused this freakish accident except maybe the heat because the temp. in Texas had been as high as 112 degrees and Tinker was
always used to the air conditioning. Needless to say I was scared to tell my aunt of the tragedy. Chaucer went through a couple days of depression, but I have made plans to get
my aunt a new glider and we are also getting a new addition to the family. The point is just be careful with your gliders out there in the heat. I don't know the cause of her death
but hopefully little Tinkerbell is in glider heaven looking down on us now(sniff sniff).
