: I think that's a litte bit cold. I keep my whole house between 70 and 75. Sometimes it goes a little bit above and somtimes it goes a little bit below. Once wickit matured..they went at it, but they mated like 2 or 3 months before anything happened. I also be VERY carefull with putting a heater in the room. Hope this helps..

I agree, I think it is just slightly on the too cold side. Previously I had used a small plastic fan to get heat into the room (this room does not have direct heat, my house has 2 central floor heater vents only), and unplugged it when they ran free with the door shut. It worked...until one of my gliders got his foot stuck in the spokes of the unplugged fan (something I never dreamed of) and broke a toe. I still have guilt attacks about the whole thing, its hard to live down the fact you hurt your own glider, accidental or not. That was the end of the fan, and start of considering a heater. But the weather warmed up, and I felt safe. I'm definitely getting a heater now anyways, and after discussion with other glider owners using heaters, I've decided to enclose the entire heater in a strong, coated metal wire mesh in the form of a box...so they won't ever be able to get close enough to harm themselves. The heater will also be on a timer so it won't be on so much while they are awake, and for other good reasons.
