Well we had a few little surprises at the vet today. First, we found out that one of my lil ones was already nuetered (although I am certain that his previous owners did not do it and they had him from infancy)so that was really wierd. I have to call them and double check but they are not the type to spend money on frivolous things like animal well being. The other, Onyx (rescued from the same home)was not nuetered. In fact, he had several complications, the major one being getting him out of the anesthesia. It was scary but all is ok now. The vet I went to is absolutely wonderful, and had done tons of glider nuetering. I used him because he came highly recommended from the vet I usually use for my other animals (tigers etc.) Everyone is home now but I am concerned that Onyx will mutilate a little so I am going to stay up tonight just in case. Thorne is fine, he just feels a little violated for having to go through the anesthesia and all. Tonight's dinner will be chock full of all their favorites!!!! BTW, has anyone done the blood test to have their levels checked before they get put under? I chose against it because my vet said it was not necessary and I felt it would cause a lot of stress for them to have blood drawn while awake before the procedure. I did however authorize the pain killers. Glider love to all! Shianne & Clan
