: What book do you recommend...for new owners and what for reference?

First off the best book out there for gliders is Caroline MCPhersons, complete guide to sugargliders, In her book, she has some great information that every glider should know.. there are things in her book however; and I have had the oopotunity to discuss them with her that I can't wholeheartedly agree with, through our discussions.. here are some of the issues we had discussed..
1. Bird Cages.. she said that she would never advocate a glider in a cheap bird cage, her cages range well over the 100.00 mark, her words were.. WHY would anyone pay that much for a glider, then put them in a cheap bird cage?.. She would never do it herself.. She does use bird cages as well as galvanized wire cages.. There are things that she has done however; to ensure her gliders safety.
2. The socks as pouches..
3. The hampster balls..she said herself they are not meant to replace personal time spent with the glider.
4. Catfood.. She herself only uses about a tablespoon, and never as a sole diet, or even as a main staple to her diet..
5. Showing the pic of the glider with the dog.. She said herself, in her book, NOT to allow any canivorious animals near your glider.

she also has the warnings in her book regarding the catfood issue, as well as the galvanized wire issue.
She has great info on how to build a small animal hospital in case of emergency, she has several diet plans to choose from, and she also is concerned with the calcium:phosphorus issues with a table in the back of her book.
she has scientific info that can only come from experience, the love of the species and real dedicated research.
Her book I suggest to any owner of a glider..

: And whats the name of the book with incorrect info?
This I would rather not say.. but after reading her (Carolines) 2nd book (she is the only one that has written a 2nd one, with updated info), you can tell which book has the outdated info, I myself own several books that have been written over the years. In my opinion, I wouldn't use a couple of them for anything more than starting fires with them. But that info you can find out for yourself just by researching through the different books.
