Collette, here I need to ask you a few things, then i want you try something.. first off, what time do you go to bed? where is their cage? and what time do you generally see him? same question regarding her? do you see her eating? I know you said she uses the wheel alot, at night, is there a chance it may be him in there? As far as the lighht thing, well that is a strong possibility, they are nocturnal and some gliders, especially one like Alex that seems to still be a little leary, he may be real shy, or just light sensitive. What we did for awhile is we used a small desk lamp, and put a buglight in it, and placed it on the other side of the room. the idea was to simulate the moon light.., it is soft enough they still played, but yet light enough we could easily see them and know where they were and what they were doing. If their cage is in another room, for a few days, move it into your room, use a soft night light near them, so you can see them.. look to see what is up.. you may find he is up more than you think..I have noticed here, that Smokey does allow Baybe her "space" time away from him at night. They take turns sometimes, sometimes he just sits on the walls and watches her play..As far as the wheel, maybe something scared him, like maybe her getting in with him, and he feeling unstable, or the wheel itself, may be a little too floppy for him ..I am only guessing here.. Your right, I don't like the balls.. but I won't go into that, I have already..What are you doing when he bites you? next time, make a mental note of exactly, what it is he hates.. whether it is trying to get him back into the cage, or into the "ball". Or just when you are trying to stop him from doing something in particular.. but make sure you know exactly what it is he doesn't like.. from there we can work on that too.. Good luck, let me know..
