: : I also had a crab apple tree growing in a big pot in their room and they loved to sit in the branched and munch.

: I was just wondering, did they have unlimited access to this tree or was it just when you were in the room? Did it usually have fruit on it? I wonder because it sounds feasible for me, here in NM there is much more desert than fruit trees, but I could keep a crab apple tree going. I just worry because if they eat the fruit, what about the seeds?

They had the tree all the time they were just about always in the room they lived there, They didn't eat the fruit all the time just nibble here and there they just liked to be able to if they wanted to, once I saw they had started on a piece of fruit, I picked it and threw it away.
