: Actually, all you have to do is mix a LITTLE bit of dish soap with vinegar and set it out open. They are attracted to the vinegar, but when they fly into it, they get stuck, or the soap kills them, or something. All I know is, when you look the next day, there are a ton of dead fruit flies in the mix. I use it alot when they start to get bad, because I KNOW my baby doesn't want a bunch of flies on hs food!
